Generic Fluconazole

Common use
Fluconazole is an antifungal medication used to treat and prevent a variety of fungal and yeast infections. It works by inhibiting the synthesis of ergosterol, an essential component of fungal cell membranes. This leads to the weakening and eventual death of the fungal cells.

An overdose of fluconazole may cause hallucinations, paranoia, or liver dysfunction. Seek emergency medical attention if an overdose is suspected. Treatment typically involves supportive care and monitoring of vital functions. There is no specific antidote.
